Matthew takes a trip to his homeland (southern CA) and extolls the virtues of the Chori-Man in San Pedro, CA. Ian talks about, yet again, Bloodborne and Dark Souls. But don't despair... we have lots of goodies to talk about like the Playstation Classic, new music releases, Marvel TV news and an incredible concert at the Hollywood Bowl to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos!
Fall finally hits DFW and Ian is STILL obsessed with Bloodbore and Dark Souls 3. Anyone surprised? In between his From Software lovefest, Ian talks about his Retropalooza experience in Arlington and a bunch gaming announcements and rumors. Matthew focuses a bit more on FINALLY finishing Zelda Breath of the Wild and partying with Mario and a some new music releases and news. Oh yeah, we watch streaming TV, too... Also, we have a little tidbit up for grabs for anyone who answers our three questions.
Now Ian is obsessed with Dark Souls 3 instead of Bloodborne and Matthew STILL hasn't finished Breath of the Wild after over a year. We cover the wonders of SCIENCE and why people need to stop watching fantasy shows on HBO. There have also been quite a few interesting gaming related announcements and a ton of new music releases that Ian refused to listen to. Thanks for listening!
No, we can't believe it either! Episode 10 is here and we were lucky enough to time it perfectly for the latest Nintendo Direct. Were we the only ones who were filled with "meh" for the new Smash version of the Switch? Tune in to see how quickly the Katamari Damacy theme gets stuck in our heads and if we will care to pay for and play old Final Fantasy games AGAIN. Also, there were a TON of new music releases over the past couple of weeks that we checked out. Thanks for listening and we hope you enjoy. Let's see if we can make it to Episode 20...
Wow, do we have a bunch of gaming stuff to cover this week. Gamescom has come and gone and left a trail of bloody Tenchu-like goodness with some Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice action (where on earth do these names come from?!?) and some giant mucus-bubbles from Biomutant. The gaming dry season is coming to an end, and there a ton of great releases on the horizon. There are also a ton of great new music releases (and a few other golden oldies) as well as a slew of awesome shows coming to DFW. Listen in for the deets and we hope you enjoy the show! P.S. Our producer was drinking again, so the episode went up a little later than planned... We'll be back in a little over a week for episode 10!
We've got some interesting new stuff to discuss this time around including the merits of the new jokes and music in the DP2 Super Duper Cut, the state of the bustling city of Arlington, the benefits of jamming out to Thundercat and a ton of other unrelated stuff. You want banter about games? Well, look no further. We cover the latest news from QuakeCon, Nintendo Direct, GenCon and MUCH MUCH more. And we bid a quick farewell to the Queen of Soul. RESPECT.
Look no further for your gladiatorial podcast needs, kiddies. This week, we cover some highlights (and a few lowlights) of Comic Con 2018, the way of the Octopath, whether we should revisit No Man's Sky, some cool tunes for a hot Texas summer and why Ian was never taught about the Vietnam War in school. We even dip into the vault of our past music "careers". What on earth do we know everything about this time around? Don't worry about it kids, ok? Just tune in, turn off, drop out, drop in, switch off, switch on, and explode.
Join us for a completely random session coving the World Cup, octo-somethings, a turquoise jeep, exploding batteries, tasty smoked goodness, excessive temperatures and a whole lot of other unrelated stuff. But don't worry... we still have the grab bag of gaming, media, music and other goodies for you all to check out. Thanks for listening!
While Ian is still obsessed with Bloodborne, Matthew tries to get him to focus on some other cool stuff that will be hitting over the next few weeks. We cover a few new releases in games and music (Mario Tennis Aces, Cold Fronts, Gorillaz, NIN) and sing the praises of slow smoked BBQ in the sweltering Texas heat. Yes, it's summer around here and we've got at least 2 more months of complaining to get through. Maybe it's time to fire up Ye Olde Streaming Box and hit a few things on Netflix and YouTube. Listen in to find out!
Now that E3 is wrapped up with a tidy-giant-money-making-marketing-behemoth bow, Ian champions Kojima while Matt is just confused by pod fetuses, Reedus same-day delivery service and toenails (ouch). What other gems and duds do we discuss? Well, you'll have to just listen to find out. We wrap up our usual banter about games, music, media and everything in between with a salute to hot sauce. We bust out 9 different varieties ranging from "man, that's tasty" to "holy hell that's gonna burn in the morning!" Warning: those averse to chip crunching on the air might want to avoid the last 20 minutes. Sit back, relax and enjoy the mayhem. Shout out to Sean Evans at First We Feast for sacrificing his stomach lining for our entertainment purposes. We salute you.
