Matt wonders what Ian has been doing for his entire life when he reveals that he's never seen Carpenter classics like Big Trouble in Little China, They Live, The Fog, Escape From New York... And to top it off... no Ridley Scott masterpiece, Blade Runner?!?!? Matt's not sure if he can hang with Ian anymore... The team is here to banter about a bunch of gaming news including Anthem's rocky release, the virtues of Destiny 2 a year and a half after release and a bunch of other cool stuff. We say farewell to Luke Perry, Keith Flint and Brody Stevens. And what exactly is Mint Tin Skullduggery? We've got a few other tidbits in music and media as well. There's only one more question for you... Can The Machine find cheese?
Greetings one and all! This one's a bit shorter than normal, but we figured we'd give you all a break from our tangental nature. Ian still plays nothing but Destiny 2 while Matt desperately tries to finish Kingdom Hearts 3 despite the 12-hour work days. What's going on with Sony and E3? And wow, what a Nintendo Direct... lots of good stuff coming in 2019. You know you wanna hear our thoughts about it. Tune in and enjoy!
The gruesome twosome are at it again with some insomnia-fueled discussion about the allure and pushback on "live service" games like Destiny, PUBG, Fortnite and the upcoming Anthem. What did we think of the Anthem experience so far? Will Matt actually play every single Kingdom Hearts game before firing up numero tres? Ian says more stuff about Destiny 2 Forsaken, of course. But hey, at least it's not Bloodborne or Dark Souls this time! What are their thoughts about Super Bowl LIII? And what did we both think of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's final episodes? We've got all that and more! You know the drill... listen in to find out!
Matt takes a trip to San Antonio for his first visit to PAX South. Tune in to hear about all of the cool stuff from PAX Rising and the huge tabletop turnout. Ian, on the other hand, rage quits Dark Souls 2 and pretends to be Batman for a couple of hours. Need to know more? Well, you'll just need to listen for yourself...
Welcome to 2019! We are back after a much-needed holiday break. Speaking of break... we got to break in our new PSVRs, talk quickly about *gasp* SPORTS of all things, watch WAY too much streaming television and go through all of the cool stuff we did or did NOT get for Christmas-Hanukah-Kwanzaa-Festivus. Thanks for sticking with us!
Here it is, folks! Our 2018 retrospective! But first, we have some cool science stuff to talk about along with other burning topics such as, should "Once Upon a Deadpool" actually exist in this universe? We also cover the Game Awards announcements before digging into our favorite movies, games, TV, music and hot sauces of the year. We are also joined by our buddy Troy to get his hot take on the 2018's best as well as some groovy B-movie goodness you all have been craving. We want to thank our small, yet devoted, fanbase for listening and we hope to bring more fun to your 2019. Happy Festivus!
Hot sauce, you say? Ian loses his mind while we run our own gauntlet of 7 spectacularly spicy sauces. We have our usual mish-mash of new music releases, video game coverage and streaming goodies to cover. Matt has a little extra to jabber about regarding some cool board games (Megaland, Illimat and Cthulu Realms) while Ian is back on the Destiny 2 wagon. Hey, at least he's not talking about Bloodborne or Dark Souls anymore...
Howdy from the crew of two! We bid a quick farewell to the magnificent Stan Lee (EXCELSIOR!) and run through a few quick news tidbits. Ian finally breaks down and plays Destiny 2: Forsaken and is hopelessly hooked again, but why is he playing Plants vs. Zombies again? Matthew gushes over the virtues of Tetris Effect and Delta Rune while holding strong with Starlink: Battle for Atlas with the one and only Fox McCloud. We also have tons of other gaming, movie, music and streaming stuff to chat about. We went a bit long this time, but where will you be going after those turkey enzymes kick in?
Matthew takes a trip to his homeland (southern CA) and extolls the virtues of the Chori-Man in San Pedro, CA. Ian talks about, yet again, Bloodborne and Dark Souls. But don't despair... we have lots of goodies to talk about like the Playstation Classic, new music releases, Marvel TV news and an incredible concert at the Hollywood Bowl to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos!
Fall finally hits DFW and Ian is STILL obsessed with Bloodbore and Dark Souls 3. Anyone surprised? In between his From Software lovefest, Ian talks about his Retropalooza experience in Arlington and a bunch gaming announcements and rumors. Matthew focuses a bit more on FINALLY finishing Zelda Breath of the Wild and partying with Mario and a some new music releases and news. Oh yeah, we watch streaming TV, too... Also, we have a little tidbit up for grabs for anyone who answers our three questions.
